Education, Empowering Women, Human Trafficking, Job Training
$14,765 Goal
Summary of the Situation
Bihar is a trafficking hotspot where false promises of work lure the poor—especially women, children, and Mahadalit communities—into forced labor and exploitation. With little education or opportunity, youth remain trapped in cycles of vulnerability. This project confronts these injustices by raising awareness, building skills, and empowering women through Self-Help Groups and income-generating activities.
Sisters Response to the root cause of the injustice
The CJ Sisters are fighting trafficking at its roots by:
1. Leading awareness campaigns on trafficking risks and safe migration
2. Equipping youth with vocational skills for dignified jobs
3. Supporting vulnerable children with education and shelter
This approach breaks cycles of exploitation, restores dignity, and builds lasting independence for at-risk families.
