Donor Spotlight: OS1st Ensures Holistic Health & Safety For All

At Sisters Rising Worldwide (SRW), we are grateful to partner with businesses that align with our mission of protecting and empowering the most vulnerable communities. One such valued partner is OS1st. Under the leadership of Josh Higgins, President of ING Source (the parent company of OS1st), the company not only is a U.S. leader in creating performance socks and compression bracing but also fosters a deep commitment to philanthropy and community well-being.

“At OS1st, we pride ourselves on creating high-quality performance socks and compression bracing that promote active, healthy lifestyles. Our company values are rooted in three key pillars: Our Socks, Our Sleeves, Our Service. These represent not only our products but also the level of care and commitment we provide to our customers and community,” shares Josh Higgins. Philanthropy is a natural extension of OS1st’s belief that everyone deserves access to an active, healthy life—one that is safe and supported, just like SRW strives to provide for survivors and victims of human trafficking.

This shared belief in safety as the foundation for a healthy life makes OS1st’s partnership with SRW especially meaningful. “The first thing we need beyond all else is safety. It’s the fundamental building block to meeting all other needs as you build a holistically healthy life,” Josh explained. OS1st also believes in supporting communities at the grassroots level—just as Sisters Rising Worldwide does through the Sisters who are embedded in the communities they serve across the globe. “Our shared focus on improving individuals’ access to safety, healthy communities, and local solutions aligns perfectly, making our collaboration meaningful and natural.”

OS1st first connected with SRW through a mutual acquaintance, Andrew Linder, who ran across the United States last spring in a weighted vest to raise awareness and funds for SRW’s efforts to combat human trafficking. “By sponsoring Andrew’s effort, we realized the connection between Sisters Rising Worldwide and our greater brand mission,” Josh shared. This realization has led to a continued partnership with SRW, as OS1st recently sponsored COO Kelly Mallon Young’s Pickleball Marathon, a fundraiser to raise awareness and critical funds to support survivors and the prevention of human trafficking.

“What resonates with us most is SRW’s relentless drive to protect and empower the most vulnerable,” Josh emphasized. “SRW’s global network, working from the ground up to dismantle human trafficking and help survivors rebuild their lives, is incredibly powerful. We’re inspired by the tangible impact SRW is making in the world, often in regions and communities where help is desperately needed, but resources are scarce. The fact that SRW approaches this with compassion and action makes their mission stand out to us.” On a personal note, Josh, an avid outdoor enthusiast, also shared, “I’m passionate about staying connected with my community and finding ways to give back, both personally and through OS1st.”

As OS1st continues to support Sisters Rising Worldwide’s mission, Josh provided a powerful message to share with the SRW community: “I just want to express my gratitude for the work SRW is doing. Your mission has inspired us to think more deeply about how we can contribute to the holistic health of communities around the world and fight against human trafficking. Keep doing what you’re doing—you’re making a world of difference, and we’re honored to be a part of that.”

Sisters Rising Worldwide is incredibly grateful for the partnership and support of Josh Higgins and OS1st. Their values, leadership, and dedication to empowering vulnerable communities strengthen our mission and inspire others to take action. Thank you, OS1st!

We invite you to join OS1st in supporting Sisters Rising Worldwide to protect the most vulnerable and build safer, healthier communities.
