From Fire to Survival: Stand With Nyabibwe Families

Crisis Summary

On the morning of July 28, 2025, the people of Nyabibwe woke to terror. M23 rebels stormed the village, setting homes on fire and scattering families in every direction. In a matter of hours, more than 1,500 men, women, and children lost everything.

Among them is a mother who clutched her children as flames consumed their home. The livestock that once fed her family were slaughtered, and the little she owned is now ashes in the ground. Tonight, she has no roof to cover her children and no food to quiet their cries. Her story is the story of every family in Nyabibwe right now.

They are left with nothing—no shelter, no food, no safety. Only the will to survive.
