Kelly Mallon Young Honored with 2025 Christian Service Award

Let’s hear it for SRW COO Kelly Mallon Young! The University of Dayton just announced that Kelly is the recipient of the 2025 Christian Service Award.

The University of Dayton presents the Christian Service Award to alumni whose “life’s work best reflects the unique quality of service and sacrifice to others consistent with the Marianist identity of the University. This award celebrates the rare alumnus whose life is devoted to extraordinary self-sacrifice for the benefit of others.”

We cannot think of a more deserving recipient than our own Kelly Mallon Young. Volunteering as the full-time COO of the organization, Kelly works tirelessly to bring attention to the life-saving work Sisters perform around the world. Thanks to Kelly’s leadership and energetic efforts, SRW has raised over two million dollars to fund campaigns that prevent the trafficking and exploitation of vulnerable women and children. SRW campaigns lift communities out of poverty by providing access to skills training and education, empowering them through micro-enterprise, and creating awareness campaigns. In addition, her work with SRW has helped provide aid to the homeless, employment to migrants, and provided healthcare, counseling and other basic services to those in need.

Like the Sisters that she supports, Kelly is a fierce advocate for those in need. Her tireless enthusiasm for equipping Sisters with the resources they need to address the root causes of injustice is an inspiration to the entire Sisters Rising Worldwide organization and to everyone she meets.

Congratulations Kelly!
