Lunching with Purpose in Orange County: Financial Leaders Unite to Highlight Sister-led Solutions to Poverty

There’s nothing quite like a “Lunch with Purpose” to spark meaningful conversation, and that’s exactly what happened on Tuesday, September 16, when Garth Flint and Mike Skillman of Beacon Pointe, one of the nation’s largest Registered Investment Advisory firms specializing in financial and wealth management, hosted an inspiring luncheon for Sisters Rising Worldwide. Held at The Pacific Club in Newport Beach, California, the event brought together community and philanthropic leaders to learn how Sisters around the globe are addressing the root causes of poverty and injustice through SRW’s innovative PeaceRoom platform.

Mission met meaningful conversation as Sister Irene captivated the room with powerful stories from the field and a live demonstration of the PeaceRoom that left guests inspired. Mike Skillman summed up the spirit of the luncheon beautifully, reflecting on why he and Garth support this work: “The Sisters truly are the hands and feet of God with the work they are doing throughout the world.”

The luncheon was a joyful introduction of Sisters Rising Worldwide’s mission to the Orange County community and a powerful reminder of how generosity and vision can come together to fuel global change. Thank you, Garth and Mike, for your generosity and leadership in helping to spread SRW’s mission, and to all who joined us for this meaningful gathering!
