SUMMARY OF THE SITUATION
Dynamics of violence characterize Apopa, that is, the inclusion of children and young people in criminal groups; this is caused mainly by the high rates of poverty and social exclusion that the municipality presents, thus causing little access to safe public spaces for practicing sports; in addition, children and young people lack opportunities for integral development because of scarce recreational spaces for the development of artistic skills and healthy entertainment, the absence of education that promotes critical thinking analytically, they also lack a physical and mental self-care approach, going hand in hand with the inappropriate use of digital platforms; together with this, the neglect of comprehensive education composed of environmental awareness is identified. This also identifies the need for school reinforcement and support in learning problems, and they also have few recreational spaces for the development of artistic skills and healthy entertainment. It is worth mentioning that an insufficient promotion of values and social skills characterizes such young people.
SISTERS RESPONSE TO THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE INJUSTICE
At the country level, and even more so in communities that have been stigmatized for decades, no investment in education promotes the integral development of youth or alternatives for the prevention of violence. The sisters of the Guardian Angel will be the main implementers of the project, from its planning to its monitoring and evaluation. They will have the support of a multidisciplinary, voluntary group of laypeople, which will allow comprehensive and personalized support.

HOW WILL THE FUNDS BE USED?
Creation of safe spaces and processes of psychohistory—social, spiritual formation, oriented to a critical, liberal, and integrative vision of reality and historical memory for empowerment and with social commitment. This project will include personalized workshops that address various topics for the participants’ emotional, mental, and spiritual growth. It is proposed at a general level To accompany children and young adolescents in the formation process from their personal history and the discovery of their gifts, qualities, and abilities to enable them to assume their individual and community reality.

As a result, it is expected to form a cohort of young people who will replicate what they have learned and put into practice with younger people from their environment of influence, equipped with personal resources and critical thinking, in order to accompany others.
