Nigeria
Education
$30,000 Goal
Summary of the Situation
There are not enough adequate classrooms for Mater Christi Model Secondary School Ahiara students. The poor and vulnerable children need a better and more conducive environment for learning. Though the school building is standing, some of the classrooms are not yet tiled, and there is no whiteboard for teaching. Due to the moral training of the students and meager fees in the school, the school is overcrowded and needs more classrooms to accommodate the children to reduce the rate of ignorance since education is power.
How will the funds be used?
Once the fund is received, it will immediately be used to fix the classrooms and other parts of the building, such as the toilets and wiring. This will be done within three months of receiving the funds.
The Sisters’s Response
The program will help address the poor situation in Nigeria and empower poor schoolchildren to be self-reliant. The parents of these children cannot afford to keep them in school.
