The Sisters’ Response
Many girls in rural areas often migrate to towns in search of job opportunities, but unfortunately, success is not guaranteed. Many approach us for help, and in response, the Sisters have launched this program to uplift them by providing valuable skills. In Kenya, gender inequality poses significant challenges, especially for women who are not fully educated. Even those with tertiary education struggle to find stable employment. Our organization focuses on hands-on skills training, empowering trainees to start their own businesses and improve their livelihoods. This initiative is expected to grow by 15 trainees each year.
Systemic Impact
Our initiative aims to leverage the ripple effects of training, fostering community development by ensuring that the skills and knowledge gained benefit the entire community. Upon completing their training, trainees will be equipped to start their own businesses, improving their well-being. Additionally, the initiative promotes gender equality by encouraging collaboration between female trainees and their male counterparts, working together to enhance the overall betterment of the community.
